PSAPs must be ready to answer the call, no matter how impactful the situation.
How do we prepare the PSAP and its personnel to manage natural or man-made disasters - whether it's just a prolonged incident with increased call volumes or the PSAP falls victim to the disaster itself?
Being ready for any disaster requires strategic preparation and collaboration between staff, PSAP leadership and related stakeholders (e.g. fire departments, emergency management and law enforcement agencies) to ensure operations continue.
This webinar will review some tips and lessons learned on how to prepare the PSAP and its personnel to continue to do their job effectively when disaster strikes. The instructor will review some planning considerations and ways in which PSAPs can work with stakeholders to ensure everyone can do their job effectively and safely in these dire situations.
